OBJECTIVES
OnePlusOne, a marriage and partnership research charity, received innovation funding from the DfE and DWP to help parents at the early stage of separation, and ultimately reduce the number of children negatively affected.
OnePlusOne are experts in behaviour modelling training to help parents resolve conflict, but needed help in how this could be delivered for users online.
Following a review of the models and behaviours, Zone identified that we need to create a simple, online tool that allowed both parents to create a plan together. This meant that we need to create features that allowed the user to suggest, and agree a plan, and also for it to be editable throughout their child/children's lifetime.
It is the first online Parenting Plan that helps couples communicate and make arrangements about who will be seeing their children in an informal yet structured environment.

Early evaluation suggests it’s been particularly beneficial for those who watched the videos depicting an unhappy split from the children’s perspective.
Users who went through this section of the site reported a significant improvement in their ability to communicate with their child’s other parent, which is exactly what we were hoping for."
